A man was arrested in Kanpur for sending threatening messages on WhatsApp to kill Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Investigation revealed that the accused had stolen a phone two days prior to making the threats and used it to send the messages. The man had also attempted to implicate his girlfriend's father in the crime. The accused was identified as Vicious and had instructed the recipient to dial 112 after the threat.
Upon questioning, it was revealed that Vicious had a personal grudge against his girlfriend's father and had fabricated the threat to get him in trouble with the authorities. However, the Kanpur police acted swiftly and identified the culprit and his intentions.
The accused has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and is currently in police custody. The police have urged the public to refrain from making such threats and warned of strict action against those who engage in such activities.
