Doctors and COVID-19 Workers Submit Memorandum to Samajwadi Party Leaders in Lucknow

A delegation comprising of doctors, nurses, and COVID-19 workers who have been tirelessly serving patients during the ongoing pandemic, visited the state headquarters of the Samajwadi Party in Lucknow today. The delegation submitted a memorandum addressed to the National President of the Samajwadi Party, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav, and the State President of the party, Mr. Naresh Uttam Patel.

Dozens of employees who were part of the delegation submitted a memorandum stating that the BJP government has terminated the employment of all 8,000 COVID-19 employees in the state. The memorandum was presented to the Samajwadi Party leaders, and the delegation included individuals such as Dr. Aman, Dr. Kaushal, Dr. Ashish, Yogesh, Ashish Singh, and many others who have been serving COVID-19 patients since 2020.

The employees stated that the government's decision to terminate their employment is unjust and has left them without any means of livelihood. They further added that the government's move is also detrimental to the healthcare system as it has resulted in a shortage of trained healthcare workers. The delegation urged the Samajwadi Party leaders to take up their cause and advocate for their reinstatement.
